The DSTA BUG is for employees at the NSW Department of Services Technology and Administration in the McKell Building Haymarket Sydney. The group’s prime objective is to promote the use of the bike riding as a method commuting by DSTA staff. This is achieved by improving the facilities in the building (e.g. improved bike racks and shower and lockers), encouraging staff to participate in cycling initiatives (e.g. National Ride to Work Day and the Gong Ride), providing staff will advice on commuting by bike (e.g. sharing bike routes) and lobbying the City of Sydney and other government bodies of issues related to bike riding in city.
